Political map of Russia & the former Soviet Union 09 January 1922 (Communist Tuva and Mongolia): With the assistance of Mongolian revolutionaries, Soviet forces expelled von Sternberg (Ungern von Sternberg), leading to the creation of communist regimes in Tuva and Mongolia (although Mongolia retained its Khan (Bogd Khan) until his death in 1924). These would prove to be the only two successful attempts to export the Communist Revolution (October Revolution) before World War II (World War II).
